AUR20920 – Certificate II In Automotive Body Repair Technology (Automotive Painting)

DESCRIPTION

Covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of basic tasks when repairing and maintaining the automotive body of cars and other vehicles.

This Automotive Painting stream covers paint removal methods, preparing spray painting materials and equipment, masking methods and preparing vehicle components for repair.

VENUE

Employer’s workshop and/or the MTA Institute campus, Freeway Office Park, Building 8, 2728 Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains.

LENGTH

The nominal duration to complete this competency based traineeship is 12 months full time. This duration is proportionately increased for part-time and school-based arrangements. The MTA Institute’s flexible training model takes into account the learner’s skills and knowledge acquired through previous training and experience. This may lead to a reduction in the time required to complete this traineeship.

DELIVERY

There are a range of methods used for our training and assessment which include written and oral questions / answers, and demonstration and observation of practical tasks

FEE INFORMATION

In most cases the Department of Employment, Small Business and Training meet the cost of training. The amount that is contributed will depend on the priority level of the course being undertaken which is periodically reviewed and updated by the Department. In some instances, learners will be required to pay a minimal co-contribution fee which will be determined on an individual basis prior to enrolment.
