The MTA Institute has successfully navigated ongoing uncertain trading conditions and periodic lockdown in 2020 to deliver outstanding levels of training according to the National Centre for Vocational Education and Research’s (NCVER) latest report on Vocational Education and Training (VET) student outcomes for 2021.
The VET Student Outcomes 2021 report is an annual summary of the satisfactions and outcomes of students who completed nationally recognised vocational education and training (VET) in Australia during the previous year, and focuses on the student’s reasons for training, employment outcomes, further study outcomes, and satisfaction with the training provider, among other measures.
Queensland’s largest independent Registered Training Organisation (RTO) for automotive training and apprenticeships, the MTA Institute places the utmost importance on delivering the highest quality face-to-face learning in the workplace and takes great pride in the results listed in the report.
Among the highlights of the report for MTA Institute graduates were:
- 90.6% were satisfied with the overall quality of training
- 90.5% received benefits of training relevant to their current job
- 93.6% achieved their main reason for doing the training
- 89.1% were satisfied with the teaching
MTA Institute General Manager Paul Kulpa said the findings of the report confirmed the Institute as a leader among VET providers in Queensland, and in fact, the country.
“We are incredibly proud of our results in the latest NCVER student outcomes report,” said Kulpa. “The satisfaction scores place us in the top echelon of automotive training providers around the country, a level we strive to achieve and maintain.”
The result comes following a momentous year of growth for the Institute, with apprentice commencements and completions both hitting record figures.
“The results are indicative of the success of the workplace-based training delivery we conduct, which allows students to learn in comfortable surroundings through real-world application and has been resoundingly accepted by both apprentices and their employers.
“Of course, this wouldn’t be possible without our incredible team of trainers we have in place across the state, who have gone above and beyond during a difficult period to deliver top-class training that directly connects student’s abilities and employers wants.”
The satisfaction and learning outcomes of apprentices and students remains a top priority for the MTA Institute going forward.
