May has proven to be a very exciting month for the MTA Institute and with the announcement that an accredited Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Course will now be offered; the AURSS00037- Hybrid Electric Vehicle Inspection and Servicing Skill Set course.
Over two-days of training, the following accredited units will be covered.
AURETH010 – Diagnose and repair high voltage rechargeable energy storage systems in hybrid electric vehicles. Involves preparing for the task, selecting the correct diagnostic procedure, carrying out the diagnosis and repair, performing post-repair testing, and completing workplace processes and documentation.
AURETH012 – Service and maintain electrical components in hybrid electric vehicles. Involves working with the automotive electrical components and electrical systems that support the control and operation of the vehicle.
With new HEV models constantly being released on the market, and the uptake of these vehicles growing each year, it’s becoming critical for auto professionals to master the latest technology which can be complicated and dangerous. The introduction of the HEV accredited course shows that big steps are being taken both in accepting HEV vehicles and realising the need for professionals to be properly trained and accredited before working on them.
The next course is at the MTA Institute, 2728 Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains from 8.30am – 4.30pm Tuesday 24th July and Wednesday 25th July 2018. Find out more
