AURSS00037 – HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE INSPECTION AND SERVICING SKILL SET

DESCRIPTION

This is a skill set covering the fundamental requirements for inspecting and servicing hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) systems and components in the automotive retail, service and repair industry.

ACCREDITED UNITS

  • AURETH010 – Diagnose and repair high voltage rechargeable energy storage systems in hybrid electric vehicles.
  • AURETH011 – Depower and reinitialise hybrid electric vehicles.
  • AURETH012 – Service and maintain electrical components in hybrid electric vehicles.

VENUE

MTA Institute, Freeway Office Park, Building 8, 2728 Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Prospective Students must meet eligible criteria and already hold a trade qualification (Certificate III) in the automotive industry.

FEE INFORMATION

This course is subsidised through the Queensland State Government under the Higher Level Skills Program, for eligible candidates.
The course fees vary from $600-$1000 depending on your current accreditation.

LEARNER REQUIREMENTS

MTA Institute is serious about safety. Learners must be prepared to use welding tools and equipment, therefore correct personal protective equipment must be worn (ie Long sleeve shirt, long trousers and steel capped work boots). Other protection such as welding masks, gloves and eye and ear protection will be provided.
