Electric vehicles are coming!” That is what has been said for over a decade, and it was true then, and even more so now. The MTA Institute has been at the forefront of electrified vehicle training space for all that time and more, and we pride ourselves on having our trainers skilled and proficient in this area.

Change is inevitable and this current change to the automotive industry consumes the headlines with government and industry making inroads to electrification.

To ensure industry gets the best training, the MTA Institute offers a comprehensive four-day course covering BEV and HEV technology. The course covers the following skills sets (click on the names here for more information):

MTA Queensland also offers Introduction to Electric and Hybrid Electric micro-credential courses. These short courses are delivered online and offer affordable, and immediate, skill upgrades for those who need to know the safety aspects and risks associated with high-voltage automotive work.

Finally, we are continuing to offer our Trade Recognition program that assists people with experience to gain a nationally accredited qualification.

We’ve seen the benefit this sort of program offers to people in the trade to help them get their qualification and spur them on to further study, or put on an apprentice to help with their work. It’s a great initiative and something I strongly recommend to people in the industry who haven’t got their qualification. It’s something they can work towards without it being too expensive!
