As the end of the year draws near and we get ready for the festive season with family and friends, it’s a good time to stop and enjoy a little time away from work. The team at the MTA
Institute have put in a big effort this year supporting the automotive industry with great professionalism, and I know they will enjoy the break as well.
This year saw the implementation of our new digital training platform, which was one of our biggest challenges and most important developments. The project increased in complexity
when we incorporated a change in training package as well – a change required us to alter assessment tools accordingly. Whilst this was a massive effort, the impact it has had on
students and employers was mitigated due to the dedication of our trainers and administration team in helping users with the new technology. Yes, it has been a challenge, but this system will
only improve our training service to industry and make us more responsive to student and employer enquiries in 2018.
We are also looking forward with great enthusiasm to our first graduation ceremony to be held in February 2018. What a great opportunity to celebrate our apprentices finishing their
qualifications! We also have a number of pre-vocational programs, starting in January, to introduce new entrants into the automotive workforce, and we will be continuing our trade
recognition program, formally qualifying people with trade experience into an automotive qualification. There is a lot happening.
So as the year winds down, we are already getting ready for what should be a massive 2018 and look forward to supporting all automotive businesses and apprentices through the year.
From all the MTA Institute team, we wish you a safe and Merry Christmas.
