Auto Camp (School Programs)

The MTA Institute has just developed a brand-new non-accredited Auto Camp course for male and female high school students aged between 14-17 years.  Taking place over three days, the Auto Camp will give students hands-on experience in a range of different automotive skills, from new technology such as Hybrid/Electric Vehicles to the principles and maintenance of a vehicle.

Limited to class sizes of 20, this course is a great experience for those that have an interest in electronics, engineering, design or manufacturing.

Course Content

  • AUTOMOTIVE PRINCIPLES AND MAINTENANCE
  • ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC FUNDAMENTALS
  • HYBRID BATTERY ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY
  • DESIGN AND MANUFACTURING
  • COLLISION REPAIR TECHNOLOGY

Venue

The MTA Institute campus, Freeway Office Park, Building 8, 2728 Logan Road, Eight Mile Plains.

Length

Over 3 days from 9am – 3pm

Delivery

There are a range of methods used for our training which include written and oral questions / answers, and demonstration and undertaking practical tasks

Entry requirements

  • attending a high school in Queensland
  • be aged 14-17 years
  • students need to have enclosed foot wear / work boots and work trousers / jeans

$275  per person (inc GST)
