Call Out For Females In The Automotive Industry To Role Model

NAWIC QLD | Calling Role Models for Speed Careering Events across Queensland

The NAWIC Women on Tools (WoT) Committee, with support from MEGT Australia and TAFE Queensland, will be holding some exciting Speed Careering events for high school girls during July and August 2019. The speed careering program forms part of the 11% strategy to increase the number of females in frontline roles in Queensland.

As part of these fun and informative events, female students will hear first-hand the many benefits and rewards of pursuing a trade career and the vast range of trade career options available to them. They’ll also learn how to commence their own trade career.

If you are a tradeswoman training, working or running a business in the construction, mining or automotive industry we’d love you to volunteer to be involved. As a role model, you may give a presentation, share your personal story or answer questions from the attendees. By participating, we promise you a very rewarding experience.

The speed careering events will be taking place from 8am–12pm at:

– Ashmore TAFE (Monday 29 July)
– Townsville TAFE (Wednesday 31 July)
– Mooloolaba TAFE (Tuesday 6 August)
– Cairns TAFE (Thursday 8 August)
– Toowoomba TAFE (Monday 12 August)
– Bundaberg TAFE (Thursday 22 August) and
– The Construction Training Centre in Brisbane (Friday 16 August).
