Allan joined the Board in February 2015.
Allan Bonsall has life-long experience building powerful brands across government and industry. He has also worked extensively in the private and public training sectors.
Allan entered the advertising industry through a cadetship with Myer Melbourne in the early 70’s, before joining a number of national and international advertising agencies in Melbourne. He joined Ogilvy & Mather’s Brisbane office in 1982 as an Account Director, appointed GM in 1984.
In 1985 Allan was recruited, by SSB Advertising, part of the national marketing and communications Fortune Holdings Group, to the role of Managing Director, Brisbane. Over the next 5 years under Allan’s direction and leadership the agency became one of Queensland’s top 5 with turnover of $14 million.
In 1990 he joined JF+M, a small locally owned agency. As Managing Director he guided the business to a top 5 position; turnover of $25M and the sought after award as Queensland Ad Agency of the Year in 1996.
Since 1999 Allan has operated a successful strategic planning and brand planning consultancy. Clients during that time have included the Federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, the Civil Construction Industry in Queensland, ACPET, Department of Local Government, The Qld Department of Education and Training, The Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests, The Australian Passionfruit Industry, the Australian Ginger industry, the NSW Sugar Industry, Sunshine Coast Destination Ltd, Battery World, Di Bella Coffee, PaySmart, Mode Design and the Australian Industry Group.
